Catalogues

Best practice guidelines and manuals catalogue

The Best practice guidelines and manuals catalogue aims to establish a comprehensive list of all such documents available within the three agencies, not just those that involve two or more of the agencies, and of guidelines available from coast guard cooperation fora. The Catalogue provides Handbook users with a short overview of each document.

Services catalogue

The Service Catalogue lists the services that are available to Member States and the three Agencies, and that involve contributions by two or more agencies in their delivery.

As coast guard functions entail ‘incident-driven’ actions and/or ‘monitoring-driven’ actions, the three Agencies develop services to support such actions.

Training courses available from EU agencies

Common, standardised and comparable capacity-building and training programmes are critical for efficient and effective coast guard cooperation. To start addressing the challenges related to education and training in this area, the Commission’s Directorate-General for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries financed a project for coast guard academies (European Coast Guard Functions Academies Network project - ECGFA Net) between 2015 and 2019.

Maritime data catalogue
Within the framework of the Inter-Agency Tripartite Working Arrangement (TWA), EMSA, Frontex and EFCA are tasked with Area 1 Information Sharing, with a focus on the development of a data sharing table providing an overview of data sharing between the three Agencies and their users. To better define the benefits that the exchange of information could bring to all parties, it is necessary to develop a clear picture of the datasets available at Agency and Member State level. The Maritime Data Catalogue serves as a record of this information.
